SUBIC BAY FREEPORT – The first high-rise condominiums ever to be built in this premier Freeport will soon be completed by a Korean property developer with committed investment of $135 million.

Korean leisure property developer KT Global announced over the weekend that the vision to build a high-end residential and commercial complex inside this Freeport zone will soon be realized with the scheduled completion of the Ampelos Tower by next year.

“Ampelos Tower will definitely change the future of Subic upon the completion of its high-rise residential and commercial units,” KT Global president Hong Shik Kim said.

Ampelos Tower, a high-rise complex composed of five 17-storey residential and commercial condominiums, is expected to change the landscape of this Freeport zone as it is being constructed right at the center of Subic’s commercial business district.

The project is situated in a 14,000-sq.m. lot inside the Subic Commercial Light and Industrial Park with panoramic views of the bay and the lush forest mountains of Subic Freeport.

Kim said that the project will boost the tourism industry with its 490 residential units and 220 condotel units with luxurious commercial spaces.

Kim added that KT Global has already sold almost fifty percent of residential units mostly to foreign retirees on its pre-selling scheme while the remaining units are available to prospective clients.

“Ampelos Tower is the pioneer of new and modern lifestyles in Subic with its sophisticated and classy architectural designs of residential units complete with advanced home security devices,” Ampelos corporate communications officer Jasmin Repasa said.

Repasa said that the project will be banking on the Freeport status of Subic offering incentives and tax privileges that serve as a magnet to both foreign and local investors.

With its main office based in Korea, KT Construction Co. Ltd., which was named after its founder Kim Tae-Kyung, is engaged in real estate development and operation of condominiums, hotels and other related activities.

Kim said that Subic Freeport has become its partner in carrying out the philosophy of customer satisfaction by providing high-quality, comfortable and state-of-the-art lifestyle.

The Ampelos Tower will offer attractive and inviting amenities such as conference rooms that are ideal for formal and non-formal gatherings and gift shops. There will also be a recreation place with spas, massage clinics, swimming pools, and sports facilities.

The rest of the complex will be the residential apartments offering high quality and comfortable units on each floor. Each unit will have balance between safety and cutting edge features with state-of-the-art living conditions.

“Our company is dedicated to provide a hassle-free living environment where clients can enjoy all of the benefits of safe, attractive, and inviting facilities,” Kim said.

“Unlike many other realty companies that are solely concerned with profit generation, our primary objective is to maintain the highest achievable level of customer satisfaction,” he assured.

The Ampelos Tower project will need 100 employees in its initial operations, and will augment its workforce to 200 in five years’ time. Rey Garcia
