Ocean 9 President Henry Park joins the evacuees during the company’s relief operation at Porac Elementary School and Bucao Elementary School, which serve as the evacuation centers for victims of typhoon Kiko in Botolan, Zambales.

Neorex Philkor Inc., operator of Ocean 9 Hotel and Casino inside the Subic Bay Freeport, has responded to the damage wrought by Typhoon “Kiko.”

Neorex mobilized employees to pack and distribute more than 800 packs of grocery items to the victims of the typhoon, particularly to residents of the devastated villages in Botolan, Zambales, who are presently housed in two evacuation centers in Porac and Bucao Elementary Schools.

Henry Hong-Sik Park, president of Neorex Philkor Inc., said the relief operation is part of the company’s commitment to “extend helping hands” to those victims of the recent natural calamity that hit the province.

Park personally led the distribution of relief goods in various evacuation centers in Botolan along with Ocean 9 Vice President Arsenio Villanueva, executive office manager Shiny Kim, acting manager for general affairs department Almar Seung-Hyun Ban, Shanta Cardona and other company officials.

This relief operation is part of the continued effort of Neorex in delivering service to neighboring community.

Company officials of the Korean firm appealed to all to join in the coordinated efforts to help the victims who are still suffering in the aftermath of Typhoon Kiko.

“May we find the compassion in our hearts to share what we can and help those who lost so much and are greatly in need,” Park said.

Typhoon Kiko (International Codename: Morakot ) caused vast damages to properties and livelihood to more than 2,000 Botolan residents.

“There is a good feeling when I am able to help victims of the typhoon. It brings a smile to know that people have received the relief packs that we have worked for,” Villanueva said.

Neorex vowed that the company would remain ready to assist in relief operations when needed.
